An attempt to reach as many people as possible, to spread the voice and inform everyone about the situation, it’s been a great fact, involving hundreds of touristic structures, taken on in partnership with the “Inn association” of Riomaggiore and its president Franco Maineri and the Green Cross and White cross Manarola and Riomaggiore (presidents Francesco Baroni and Marino Cassigoli)

Dear lovers of Cinque Terre,
A little awhile ago, you were our guests here in Cinque Terre and we would like to take this occasion to once again thank you will all our hearts for your visit!
We are sure that you had a wonderful time here enjoying the unique beauty of our five famous towns and that the memories you have made here will remain unforgettable.
This year on October 25th, the towns of Monterosso and Vernazza were devestated by a rain so horrible, that whole hills began to crumble, transforming them into a torrent of trees and stones that flooded through the historical centers of Vernazza and Monterosso leaving behind a large deposit of mud and debris as high and as deep as twenty feet.
Luckily, the towns of Riomaggiore and Manarola along with towns above it – Volastra and Groppo – remain intact; Corneglia was only slightly damaged by this torrential rain.
In these last few days we have received many calls and mail from our friends, families and clients from all over the world who are so concerned for us, asking how they can possibly help Cinque Terre. Your concern for us has truly touched us. Your concern has also encouraged and inspired us to get together with the Green Cross of Public Assistance of Manarola and the White Cross of Riomaggiore to create a place for you to give donations to help our neighbors in Cinque Terre.
We are encouraged by your thoughts, and we look forward to once again seeing you here in all of Cinque Terre that will once again be whole and splendidly beautiful as always.
